Enjoy man!!

btw.. you should at least be seeing about 19mpg average, more on highway...
The 2006 AWD had the worst EPA mileage ratings of any of the Gs. Extra weight plus energy needed to turn multiple wheels I guess. So I wasn't surprised. It was around 15-16 in town. Out on the road for 2 hours of highway riding first time this weekend and got a bit over 20. So we'll see.

Just purchased a Motordyne Isothermal and Plenum set (non copper). Will post fuel mileage change in a month after 2 weeks testing 80/20 highway/city mpg's between stock and post-upgrade. Of course resetting ECU tonight

Reset ECU last night and drove it like a dentist, a lot of the power seems to be gone... If only there was a switch for spirited driving and high fuel economy driving. Even the Man-U-Matic mode seems effected

Is there also a negative behind resetting the ECU?

Ecu reset-crossing fingers

I have a 05 sedan w/ sport package. Purchased it brand new and currently have 181000 miles and I've recently noticed it is getting worse gas mileage and shifting slower. So I started reading threads and I came across this ecu reset. I don't think my ecu has ever been messed with from infiniti. If it has-no one ever told me. I have chosen to do the battery disconnect option for 12 hrs. I'm excited to see if this works. I have always monitored my gas mileage and use to get 200 miles around half tank and averaged 21 mpg and gas light would turn on around 370 miles. I'm now getting around 18 mpg and recently my gas light comes on around 300-310. Most of my driving is done on highway to and from work and live in Phoenix.

Wow I was a noob. Resetting the ECU by the pedal method or unplugging the ECU resets fuel knowledge of the ECU.

Resetting the ECU and driving like a grandma will desensitize the throttle.

It does not change things majorly for your MPG. Check your intake track and complete a tune up if your MPG's are falling. A simple tune up procedure can be found on google, it costs about a hundred bucks and 2 hours of your time.

I tried the complicated throttle / stopwatch procedure on my '04 G35 a few times with no results, then ran across a really easy quick reset that turned the light off right away. Just disconnect the battery and pump the brakes a few times - Bingo!.

Do you lose your radio & seat presets?

I don't have the memory seats, but I'm guessing a person would. The radio (Bose) is a whole other story - went to disconnect the auxiliary input the last owner had installed, put it all back together, and now everything works but I have no volume at all. That's tomorrow's project!

This YouTube video helped immensely

http://youtu.be/95WszTnphPI

I just did the reset in sync with this video and it worked perfectly. Now my G35 doesn't drop idle when at a stop light and the service engine soon light was cleared. The service engine soon light turned on after a really cold night that threw a thermostat/coolant/temp sensor error. I will monitor this closely.
