Thats great news Hex. What a long pita road its been for you.

Mine still basically holding at 1/4qt/1000mi even with synth which I just switched to last service.
Maybe a little more consumption than dino, but nothing to take note of.
Still its a pain and no doubt will be like this for the rest of its life, oh well.
Least its better than the 1qt/1200mi I was getting before.
Hope your new VQ will be a good one and better than mine, oil consumption wise.

^^^haha!! Yeah, thanks bro. It has been a long PITA road. But I guess that saying holds true in this case, "Good things come to those that wait." I tell you, I was patient like a mofukka. A few times I just wanted to say F IT and get a lawyer. But I had patience and let it all play out the way they wanted to do it. I did EVERYTHING that they asked and it finally paid off. I hope my next engine is as strong as my current engine minus the oil problem. Now I can finally start looking into my plans to go FI again!! Of course I have to break the new engine in and make sure it doesn't have the same problem first.

So I tried to check my oil tonight... this is quite possible the worst dipstick Ive ever handled. I was unable to get any kind of accurate reading whatsoever. Advice?

 

haha nah im not really after Hexx... no worries.
it's going to be in placentia or anaheim hills area.. forgot where exactly somewhere between OC and Riverside.

 

having a problem reading it? i mean you can always see the oil level on the stick but good luck returning the dip stick back!
