Played one of my favorite games, "how much stuff can you fit in your sports car". I still had some room in the back seat but it was also occupied by two 50lb bags of dog food, trunk was pretty much leveled off with a trip to Home Depot, a full load of groceries, and a not-insignificant quantity of beer.
I love the look on peoples faces when then tell me "Sir, I'm not sure this is going to fit?"
Thats the highest payload i ever have in my G, its all for zdayz weekend and i packed an aprtment lol
I'm constantly amazed by how much I can actually fit in this car. I have one of those huge Cosco folding plastic tables that fits in the car if I fold the back seat down.
There's a surprising amount of room when you lay the rear seat down. Had mine loaded up with camping gear for a 3 day music fest once. Tent, canopy, bedding, food, camp stove, chairs, etc. Removing the spare tire fees up a ton of space in the trunk also.
Just installed a Tanabe by Revel Medalion exhaust and ISR Y pipe.
Sounds great. Wasn’t to impressed with the Y pipe.
The bellows are to close to the cats to get a deep socket on the nut.
Other than that the install went good. Tough on jack stands by yourself.
Did I say it sounds great!
just waiting on the FI RHFC and a tune.
This car is nice.
I've had a Trial Japan all titanium exhaust on my car for few years now. However the thing was originally for a 350z, which means there was a short extension piece installed and welded up by a local exhaust shop as a "temporary" solution. It was originally done in mild steel and not even stainless, so started out pretty awful and with time came to look absolutely horrible. I fiiiiiinalllly got around to getting it sorted at a local place that works with titanium (Full Time Fabrication in North Bergen NJ):
Original extension piece:
And also I really didn't like the flange at the back end of the exhaust. I always thought that Trial Japan could have done a better job on this section since it necked down a bit too much so I had Full Time Fab redo this part:
Kevin @ Full Time not only rebuilt my exhaust, but also welded it into my Tomei titanium y-pipe, removing 3 unnecessary flanges in total, reducing weight even further and getting rid of another spot where leaks could form. Everything sounds great, no leaks, and an ultra lightweight exhaust. Big thumbs up from me
Tomei Expreme titanium y-pipe now welded together permanently with the exhaust:
While I was at it under the car, I saw how absolutely awful and rusty those steel braces looked under the car (the ones that hold the front section of the rear aluminum differential cross member), so I ordered a "new" used set, cleaned it up, laid down some urethane primer, and then hit it with a urethane clear coat. Good as new and should stay rust free for a few years:
Nice indeed. Although the titanium seems like overkill, but I do realize you track the car. What did all of that cost?
I need to replace my rear sub-frame stays as well. How much of a pain was that?
The titanium was a bit pricey, but not insanely so. The original exhaust was bought a few years ago used on my350z. Price was pretty good at 800usd especially considering brand new from Trial Japan it was near or about 1900 usd. The work that was done just now by Full Time Fabrication cost me just shy of 600 usd.
The sub frame stays were not at all a pain. Really the most annoying part is that you will need to remove the W brace to get them out since the brace bolts up to them. After the W brace is removed then just remove and replace them one at a time, this way you won't really need to support the rear subframe. I bought the "new" used stays for 90 usd per side.

Thanks for the info. My W-brace needs to be replaced as well.

I replaced mine with the FDF aluminum one. I had one from ultra racing, but that too started rusting on the inside and the fitment was not so great requiring modification to actually bolt up.
not sure if any of you guys know this product is actually available for the 350z/G35 platform, so figured I'd bring it to some attention. I installed a wheel spacer that works with the OEM clockspring and wheel. I've always had a bit of a challenge getting into a good position having long legs and getting enough space to do comfortable heel-toes. The fit and finish is pretty good, although the only thing that sucks a bit is that I did need to extend the oem wires for the switches, but thankfully the airbag wires are long enough as I don't really want to mess with those. Do recommend and will be tested at NJ Motorsports Park on Monday:
Well THAT is interesting, one of my biggest complaints on my Ford Focus is the steering wheel is too darned far away and has almost no telescopic adjustment. Gonna look into that to see if this company makes a spacer for it, thanks for the info.
