Brought my G to some track lap events on Darlington last weekend
Very nice
I did the same at NJMP in Millville, NJ:
Very happy with the new tires: RE71R. They gripped much better than my previous setup
I did run into issues with overheating despite the oil cooler and CSF radiators are still on back order. Does anyone have good radiator recommendations? Mishimoto or Koyo?

i do need some new supension and exhaust setup soon... RE71R must be nice on track. I am running with my federal st-1 and they are decent luckily
Mishimoto always makes great radiators, however I'm thinking you have something else going on because I've tracked my G pretty heavily over the years on the stock radiator and never had an issue. Might be a symptom of your fan motors starting to fail.

You are def correct in that it was something else. It really was primarily due to some air pockets that were still present in the system. I ended up spending half the day bleeding the system and by the end of the day I was able to make it to the end of a session without overheating excessively. Additionally I think because I now have a splitter with an integrated non-vented undertray that goes all the way to the front crossmember I now have a bit of an airflow problem across the radiator (no good exit for the air), so it would seem I now desperately need a vented hood.
I'm thinking I will design a CF cut and drop in solution for the stock hood. If anyone is interested I could make it available for others once the molds are made.
Took my daughter out to Summit Point for her first ever track day. Nice seeing my old G still out there.
Had to do some trackside maintenance; all the extra stress actually snapped the bolt for the battery cable going to the starter. It looked a bit rusty, so this was the final push I guess. Wife showed up with a new starter, and paddock neighbors helped out with extra tools, jack, etc, and she was back out there. Best thing from my perspective was she crawled under there and asked what to remove. I'm going to look over engine mounts in the coming weeks to make sure there wasn't/isn't any excessive movement.
Overall she learned a lot and wants to go again. I've now basically doubled my track day expenses, lol.

G35 in action:
Gratuitous shot of my RCF.
That's fantastic. Actually exactly the sort of thing I want to get into when my daughter gets up to driving age, small dream of mine.
As for the RCF, surprisingly enough I actually saw 2 of them at NJMP during the last track day and a supercharged ISF to boot (owner of RR Racing was running laps in it), pic below:
Cool car and sounded very mean. Def better noise than the relevant German vacuum cleaners (current gen M3s,M4s, etc.)
@LoSt180 Personally I would just replace the engine and transmission mounts with poly as preventative maintenance. I suspected mine were worn so I removed my hood and stuck a Gopro on the roof so I could see how much movement the engine actually had and it was a pretty scary amount even though I had no visible signs of deterioration on the mount. This was just NA power levels.
It's more like "what didn't I do to the G today", every other month I basically just park the car for 2 weeks while I put a tank of gas through the other vehicles in the fleet to keep them fresh.
Got peer-pressured into doing a full throttle rip through our back parking lot at work, no traction control. Another guy at work with a Focus RS thought he could leave more rubber on the road than I could.
He was wrong, big triple "S" from one end of the parking lot to the other, kicked it all the way to the top of first gear then just stood on the rev limiter for a couple more seconds until I ran out of parking lot.

Yeah granted I never switched over to my summer tires because I was lazy and have no plans for any track use this summer, it EASILY lights the all-seasons up. On my summer tires I probably would have left 1/2 as much rubber on the pavement.
Also, today was engine oil, 6MT fluid, and rear diff. Little surprised at how much metal was in the tranny fluid, I changed the fluid at 1000 miles and this was it's first fluid change since so 21,000 miles on the new CD00A. Gonna shorten the interval to 10k miles for the next change to see if there's something prematurely eating itself on the inside.
Took apart the rear diff to see what was making noise, looks like I have one of the thrust washers out of spec, everything else looked good.
Since I have a diff disassembly in my near future I'm weighing options for a VLSD upgrade, as much as I've absolutely THRASHED on my VLSD over the years with a dozen autoX events as well as all the several dozen 1/4 mile passes the VLSD is still extremely tight when hot at normal driving conditions so I'm sort of torn about upgrading...
Currently weighing whether I WANT to upgrade to a helical diff or not, also thinking of picking up another VLSD and tearing it apart to weigh options for replacing or adding friction discs and fluid since there are always options for that, I bet adding a disc or two to the stock unit will make it perform amazingly while not sacrificing the comfort of the OEM unit and not costing $1500 like an aftermarket.
Decisions... plus I need to find a different diff cover with fins that will work with my RAS, definitely not opposed to modifying one to fit.
