Nah bro, not at all, it really is a good thought. It's been done, yup, with no notable ill effects also. I've done tons of stuff like this without ill effects, so have tons of others.
I guess I just wanted to do the 'disclaimer' thing and ensure he knew risks of it.
And yes, I should be doing a lot that doesn't include the internet
FINE!!! I'll go work on my house

You can take out one of the collars in the rear if you havent already and look into the spring mount mod which I did once for someone and won't do it again lol. Not worth the trouble IMO but will add a little more drop. A lower profile will help some as well but stay within 3% of oem tire size

Help with Tein Basics!?!?!?!
I am running Tein Basics on my 05 Sedan. I have the front maxed out and I'm getting all kinds of odd noises when driving over bumps and vibrations. The rear has more room for low but i like the raked look. and my wheels aren't that aggressive (19" Coupe Rays). Should i tighten the front coils more to stop the sound and vibes. Or what I'm open to suggestions.
This is my old stance before dropping the front and rear about half an inch I'm thinking of going back to this to stop the noises.

^Sounds like you lost your pre-load when you dropped it more up front. The basics use the same collar for height adjustment and spring pre-load. Raising it back up will put tension back on the spring and you won't get the clanking anymore
If you jack the car up in the front till the wheels comes off the ground, you should be able to grab the spring and wiggle/move it up and down if you've gone beyond the spring load

Noises from suspension are almost always improper install, poor lube, or misalligned components (improper install)
Now noises due to rubbing, that's a different story, but falls into improper install IMO also.
In short, raising/lowering should not make a difference in your noises, unless you've lowered it improperly in the first place.
Does that make sense?
Also, most don't come with them, but spring isolators will cure pretty mcuh any issues that AREN'T 'install' issues. You can use any dense rubber for this

Stance, BC, Function and Form....HKS...etc, all cost hundreds more but they have seperate collars for the spring load and height adjustment.
All of them come with bump stops but that's for when you bottom out

whats most likely to get damaged when going over a speed bump? My clearance is like 1 inch. With the exhaust hanging a little lower. My ypipe is already really beat up.
Even if I go as slow as I can, how likely is it to damage my oil pan/rear diff/etc. I avoid bumps at all costs, but I don't know where all of them are. And sometimes "new" ones come from nowhere.

Even if I hear that super loud thump? I heard like 4 or 5 of them on the speed bump, along with the scraping noises.
The thumps are what worries me. If it's all the exhaust, that's no problem. But if it's something like the oil pan or differential or what have you, that's what I'm worried about lol.
