yea. it does have an ugly gap between the boot and the diameter of the console.
that's why I was wondering if I could swap the mT console to this.
I can't find pics of the MT console for an 04 online so I could visually see if they're the same.

The reason why i am getting Hids is becuase i like the blue beam. so if i get some white ones, itll defeat te purpose of what i want.
the only reason I said 12k was because on the eBay link, the 12k looks blue, not purple
thanks for clearing that up.
but I will be going with the 8k blue.
along with that I will be ordering a trunk lip and possibly a front bumper lip.
I'm not sure which one though.....
Here's 8k on my car when I had them. Plenty of blue IMO.

Got my shift boot here: https://g35driver.com/forums/group-b...rfect-fit.html and it looks a lot better than that.

Locksmith isn't a vendor anymore, but you might try contacting SxExCx and see if he can help you out.

ark burnt tip exhaust (help)

Okay so I bought my g35 a few weeks ago (07 coupe) and it came with the ark exhaust with the burnt tip. I like how they sound but i'm not sure if I like the burnt tip. I want the MD exhaust but that will happen around july. I was wondering if any of you guys have gotten rid or the burnt tip or know how to do it.

just an update for te questions going on the last few posts about shift boots.
I thought of a new idea for the shift boot.

I just put the boot in between the shifter plate and the piece that hold the shifter plate in place. now it looks like it is suppose to be there.
it's pretty simple. but should I make a How To. thread on this?

That looks much better good job! However, there really is, IMO, no way to do that with that boot properly. The bag, material, stitching, and especially the drawstring is horridly cheap looking, there's really no way around it.

The only way to pull off a drawstring is to use a Crown Royal bag.
And the only way to pull that of is to go with a Purple Theme.
And the only way to do that is with huge *****.

has anyone put led strips on their headlight?
i like the way the audi r8 looks with the led strip on the bottom.
i was thinking itd look ugly in daylight because the strip would be on the headlight, but i saw some guy put the strip under headlight, where the bumper meets the housing, thinking of doing a red led strip

lol!
i dont see how you can tell if the stiching and material is cheap?
but, i will say this, i got it at a yardsale for 1$ a few months ago! ha, but i dont like the strings either, i tried finding a black suede boot with black sticking on ebay, because they're 10$ there, all i find are black suede boots with some type of non black color stiching.
I just ordered a trunk lip, i was going to get window visors too, but a set was like 250$.

It is actually impossible to put led strips under our headlights, and +1 on that drawstring
