Hmmm. Good question! I would suspect the 03-04 are the same, and the 05-06 are the same. Just speculation, but they may be the same all the way from 03-06, considering most of the changes were either cosmetic or drive train.

... Now whether the AWD and RWD models are interchangeable? That's an entirely different question.

There is only one model of fuel tank for the sedan from 03-06: 17202-AC70A. The coupe's part number is slightly different: 17202-EY80A. I don't know if that means it's not interchangeable.

The only other solution I've found is to purchase another climate/radio dash cover and hack it apart.

The Japanese versions of our cars had a double-din head unit.
Before the Metra came out, that was actually the only option.
It is an expensive way to go for sure, but it's the only way to have the look and feel of OEM.
I'm not sure if they're still available though.

Search the forum for "JDM dash kit" and you should be able to find plenty of information.

Your view on if an infiniti looks better with or without the Emblems?

Anyone here changed their power seat gear out?

I can tell its a somewhat common issue due to a cheap part and I am pretty sure I need to replace mine on the driver seat inner side since it doesn't move quite as far back as the outside of the seat and can tell it skips or is struggling when moving it long distances.

Just wanted to confirm if this is a simple DIY and wont require the seat to be removed from the car.

Also I wanted the opinion on if I should be changing both of them out or not. I only think the one side is broken, can obviously take apart both and inspect them, but the good side moves normal. I like the "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" mindset, but at the same time there are a lot of things you should typically change in pairs if doing one (2 new tires due to a single side puncture for example).

Unfortunately it looks like the tiny plastic gear is $65 so doing just one is expensive enough to me for what is being switched out and I'd prefer to save the money if it seems fine.

Removing the seat from the car is 4 bolts and a seatbelt connector. Just pull it.

I read somewhere that if you dont properly unhook one of the wire harnesses you can screw up the air bag badly, I doubt deploy, but still mess up which I dont want to do.

Perhaps its just saying it trips the light which can be reset, but I dont think I want to risk an expensive fix unless you or someone can confirm there wont be an issue or I can find a DIY to be sure.

Today I looked at my power steering fluid for the first time to see if it was dirty. I did a flush at the dealer 30k miles ago and this time i figured I would do the pump out the reservoir and fill it back up method a few times to cycle most of the old fluid out.

To my surprise the fluid in the reservoir was clear and NOT red like i would have expected. I thought Infiniti recommends Dexron III ATF fluid for power steering so I have no idea what the clear liquid is for sure.
Could it be brake fluid or is that a for sure no?
Otherwise I assume its like a Pennzoil actual power steering fluid which i believe is clear, but do the dealers really use that instead of the recommended ATF?

Whatever the liquid is, i assume it wouldn't be wise to mix the existing fluid with ATF as i try and cycle 70% or so of the existing liquid out, correct?
If i can confirm it to be a true power steering fluid am i just as good to cycle in fresh PS fluid like the Pennzoil or should i put up the $100 or so and have a dealer flush it all out and put in the recommended ATF fluid?

I am also a bit curious if many others have clear liquid for their power steering, but that is last on my list of questions.
