I've had mine on for a year now and just about through a Calgary winter. They haven't moved an inch since I put them on. This was a great mod imo.

They're still holding perfectly fine and haven't budged or rattled. I keep forgetting to put some JB Weld on them, but it escapes my mind every weekend.

BTW I had to cut off OEM mounting brackets used for OEM tip mounting. Now I think I want to move the whole exhaust up so it is closer to the rear valance for tighter look. Don't mind my dirty car.
Does anyone know if this tip is sold in the US? (should I just order from here and pay more shipping? Probably will)

I have a love hate relationship with my cpe m.p. + HKS. I really love the sound when driven hard, but when putting around, it's getting old. Ever since I got the Z06 5 months ago, I've wanted to make the G quieter.

Thinking of putting the stock muffler back on with these ractive tips that are simply bolt on, while leaving the cpe midpipe on. You won't see the bolts unless you get under the car; but with the fatboys you will see the cut inner metal guts. (kept my stock muffler, middie, wheels in storage etc--yeah)

Or, I might just put the stock midpipe back on and leave the HKS on. It will be quieter, but I'd like to sell the HKS if possible so someone else here can enjoy the sound on their G.

Yes, but you can still expose flaws under bright (spot) lights for example--gas station at night, taking a flash-picture etc.

I can put a bright spot light on my silver Z and it shows zero swirls or imperfections. I'm with Dave, no more black cars. This is my 3rd nissan/infiniti black car. It shines up great, I will give you that.

I was in the same boat as you a month or so ago regarding the HKS. Here's my feedback.

I replaced the CM with the SM and it helped but I still wasn't happy. Cut a lot of the drone but it was still there. So, I sold the HKS and put the stock muffler back on with the CM and I'm very happy with the sound. It's quiet with just a hint of warble.

I, like you, realized I just wanted to drive a quiet, smooth car. Doesn't mean I don't like to go fast, just not loud. Been there done that!!

Well I was set to buy Janiks, but he's hanging on to his car for a little longer now!

I'm in no rush to buy one, just waiting for one to fall into my lap lol

That is not the same one though (size is off), but thanks.

I too like the cm + stock muffler sound. I originally was going to leave it like that, but everyone kept telling me how I was going to love the HKS paired with the cm. I did. The thing is, it sounds intoxicatingly awesome at wot (especially under an over pass in manumatic wot ) but when simply driving laid back--it is a bit much.

Same thing happened with a mustang GT a few yrs back--put the bbk h-pipe and it sounded great. Added 2 chamber flowmasters and it sounded incredible. However, I had the stock 3.27 rear end and at fwy speeds the drone was too much.

This is why I will leave the stock Titanium exhaust alone on my Z!

As bad azz as this sounds, I know it would wear on me after a couple of months.
this last one is so over the top, I like it but in 2 hrs my ears would be bleeding

Must be Old Fart Syndrome kicking in, but I'm even thinking of ditching my Z middy. Sounds great with my 03 muff but it is a bit drony at low revs. Been talking with Kevco about a swap with his 05 sedan middy, maybe add an HR-Y and call it good. (I know DaveB would approve, LOL) We'll see what spring brings!
