I hear ya Ian.

The most subtle drop we have is tanabe's with a the droopy bum fix mod or impuls :S

Tein is available.. but the verdict is still out on how much those actually drop our G's in reality.

CO's!!??? YES!!! Go CO's!!! Youve pretty much done everything in terms of handling and suspension... might as well complete it hehe

To see any real handling improvement, coils are the only real option.

...and before you ask, no, I have not yet taken the pics that BC Racing needs.
On my way home from work tonight, I saw a sign stating "Lobster-$5.99 /lb"

I spent the night in the kitchen

OK guys......
It's a combination of a couple of things.

The left front was always a little lower than the right to begin with.
On my original install there was 3/16" difference.

I just now measured the coil portion of loaded strut
and there is now 1/4" difference left to right.
.........so 1/16" difference between original & now is definitely within margin of error.

One of the problems is purely my fault, ...tire pressure.
I'm to say it's been over 3 weeks since I checked them last.

That left fr. was 2lb lower than the right fr.,
the right rear was .5 high
& the left rear was 1.5lb low.
^ the perfect storm to make the appearance worse than it really was.

The other thing that a good friend mentioned is the STB.
On the Maxi boards, apparently if the car isn't sitting properly when it is torqued down,
it braces the car in that position.
...I'm going to give that a shot later.

The other thing I think I'll do is swap the left & right struts.
& put the lower one on the passenger side.

So it looks like things are still OK
.....now the sad part is, I have no excuse for C/Os

Well, the good news continues...I picked up my springs today and they will be installed on Thursday.

Ian, can you give me a little more technical information about the rear "spacer" that I need to cut. I know you ended up shaving 5/8" but I think I'm gonna go with 1/2". Is this something I can do in my garage with minimal tools or should I let a shop do it? PM me if you would like and maybe we can talk on e-mail if that would be easier.

Thanks,
Kurt

Hey Kurt...
It's extremely easy to do.
There's a DIY on here somewhere, I'll see if I can find it & link it.

Basically cut around with a hack saw.
..use a little oil to lube the blade & it slices right through.
The hardest part is holding onto the odd shaped sucker while you cut it.

Thanks Ian, cutting the spring mount does look fairly easy, but the link on how to remove the mount has changed. I'll look around and see if I can find another one. Who knows, I may just end up taking the rear tires off and see if I can figure it out on my own...should be pretty easy.

Thanks again.

Removal is easy....
After the spring is off, it just pulls down.
There are small spring clips in the center that hold it up.

Now I'm getting excited. Bad part is I'm heading to Canada on Friday for 2 weeks. So I drop it on Thursday and can't look at it for 2 weeks, talk about anxiety.
