From what I made of it you bought the sideskirts at an already discounted rate from his holiday sale. They were fitted by another shop for 600. You did not leave you car with the shop so they just painted them, when they installed them they did not fit correct. Right there most companys would say sorry see you later I worked in a body shop for many years, even the most expensive kits do not always fit 100% and once the product is painted you own the piece.

Eric agreed to make you another set which he did not have to do, eating the cost of production to hopefully keep a good name with you.

The wait is negatible IMO as he was sending you free replacements, keep in mind shipping is not cheap either. So already he has lost on this sale. I agree that he or his partner did make a mistake sending out 2x passenger side skirts, and will be willing to send you another at no charge... This is his companies mistake so he should eat it.

I even see in the pms that he is willing to refund you the whole order of the skirts, for what you went thru. I do feel like you are asking a bit much the free side skirts, the speeding ticket (he did not cause you to speed), days off work, CS rear at cost, partial refund of work done at other shop.

This is a prime example of why you need to prefit a kit before paint no matter what. I am sorry that you are in this mess, but I think he is doing the best that he can for the limited resources that he has.... He offers a product at 1/3 of the price than most, that is why he is swamped everyone wants it.
^^ +1, well said. You can't ask more of free stuff when the guy already cut you a deal. Put yourself in his shoes, if you were to have that much orders at once and all these complains just never stop piling, what would you do? I understand where you're coming from, being on the wait is like the most horrible thing for any car enthusiast. Plus, what was your intention of making this thread? To make you feel better because there's a thread where you can bash on him? Or to let others know how much of a unreliable person he is? Whatever your intention is, it is not doing its job.

Also, while you were waiting for the replacement parts, did you have the funds to get them done right away? If not, I don't see this as a major problem (for me personally, that is).

I just hate to see so many bashing threads on a reputable seller.

I am sure Eric is a good guy and a trustworthy vendor, but honestly, he tends to be off with his communications and the time frame he says that things will be done. When you say something, keep your end of the bargain. Update your customers. If fitment is an issue, then i think he shouldn't make that guarantee. I know aftermarket parts are not 100% perfect, then he should state that somewhere. When you say fitment is guaranteed, people are going to expect that and when they get different results, people will complaint. I just hope this gets resolved soon and that hopefully Eric will learn from this and not take a mass quantity of orders and as always, communications with the customer is key.

Actually I think this thread is doing it's job. The OP wanted to warn people of his experience with Eric. I for one am glad he made this thread. I had planned on getting in touch with Eric to order some parts but after reading through some of these posts I have decided to go a different route.

I don't know Eric and I have never done business with him but reading these posts makes me never want to. I understand that he has done a great deal for the G community and I for one am thankful for people like him. But at some point you have to realize that you are overwhelmed and stop taking on new customers! If you can't handle the orders you already have... why take more?

To the OP, good luck resolving your issues and thanks for posting!

Consistency is key to a successful business. With that said, I know Eric personally and he's a stand up guy, and I'd vouch for his character. I think he's just a bit overwhlemed lately. I'm totally not making excuses for him I think you as the buyer will ultimately make your own decisions anyway, it's your money and your level of demand.

I don't believe he is a reputable seller at this point.

Mistakes happen. Its how you correct them that matters.

I think the problem is that people should not do more than they are capable of doing....

I mean 08-09, so for about a year this issue has continued? That does not sound like being overwhlemed to me...I dont see how a lot products that have been shipped out within 3 months even with fitment and quality issues and the OP has yet to solve his problem...

After seeing Twalls body kit and the amount of work it needed before it was painted and Txaaron pictures of the gap on the bumper/fender... I have seen enough...

I find it hard to believe how many people are still trying to defend eric. yes I understand (and have acknowledged several times) that he USED to have a great reputation here. thats why I first got in contact with him, because I trusted his parts, but guess what, things change.

Theres an entire other thread in the G-Spot entitled "A Klumzyee Order" with even more complaining customers than here, take a look:
https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-cou...yee-order.html

for the people that seem upset that im seeking further compensation than just replacement parts at this point, your insane. I waited 4 months for the FIRST set of replacements without asking for anything, and then he sends me the WRONG replacements. i let the first wait completely slide, even though he quoted me 3 weeks over the phone, i let the 4 month wait slide.

really there is no way you guys can defend him at this point. he has made himself impossible to contact for his own customers. how hard is it to take an hour of each day to sit down and respond to inquiries from customers? or even then, I have left him my contact information in several different pms so that HE can call ME at HIS convenience.

It is shocking that this is still going on. After starting the thread "https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ferrerid=13080", i assumed he would clean up all the loose ends.

This is apparantly not the case since i also know Bayonet is also waiting for IMpul sides and was hoping to see him at HB to straighten things out since he was suppose to be a sponsor. i guess he didnt show up.

hey French87 ill PM you his E-mail. he never did respond to my emails but its something.... i wish i could help you more.

yes i had the funds while waiting for the replacements. the financial issue was a very shortlived one after stretching myself thin at christmas time.

yeah and i had a good feeling this would happen, the socal army will run to his defense. thanks for the support

there were over 34 replies overnight, so its already doing some of what I wanted to and bringing my situation to light to give potential customers something to consider. Also, although unrelated to the thread, I haev already deterred at least 3 people that I can think of from buying from eric, although i may be doing him a favor since hes "sooo swamped" (how do we even know this is true and not a cop out? maybe hes "swamped" because he got lazy and stopped working?")

what about the nismo that I bought from you, i thought garage did that one? if not, my mistake, but you know as well as I do that garage is a reputable shop and is not the cause of the problem here

that depends, eric was selling alot of prepainted parts for a while so if he bought them prepainted then it is erics fault.

it's very hard to make time when you work all day and the end of the day you just want to have a beer, why contact the customer he already has their money
