Hello all from Tire Rack
Hi Neal,
I'm thinking of putting 265/35/19 on my 8.5" rim, where the stock size is 245/40/19.
Are installers generally okay with mounting that tire size on an 8.5" rim? The tires I would be getting are the michelin pilot super sports
I also wanted to know pricing for the 245/35/19 (x2) and 265/35/19 (x2). Do you offer any sort of discount? Chase Ultimate Rewards is offering extra points/$ spent at tire rack (works out to be 4% off), so I was curious as to which route I should take.

It's possible the camber is tweaked a bit on that corner. Also, worn suspension can bounce the tire around and cause irregular wear. I would suspect there's something wrong suspension or alignment wise on that corner if the other three are fine. Probably better to get that corner checked out than move another tire to that position, thus ruining another.
Hey Neal!
You probably don't remember me but I think I spoke with you on the phone when ordering my winter wheel and tire setup- Michelin XI3's on 17" wheels. We discussed the tpms's. Anyway I just realized that although my "summer" setup tires are only 3 years old they have about 50k miles on them. The rears are Primacy MXV4's and the fronts are Yokohama TRZ with a T speed rating. The tread is still good on them but I'll be in the market for some new tires soon. Since the original owner had good success with MXV4's I'm looking at Michelin's again. I'm torn between the Primacy MXM4's and Pilot Super Sports. I've noticed that you've been out of the MXM4's on the front size (225/50/18) at Tirerack.com for a while now. Do you know when you expect them back? Also what would you suggest for new tires? A local shop highly recommended the Toyo Proxes 4 Plus. I don't track and only open the throttle every once in a while to hear and feel the car come alive. As suggested above I have winter/snow/ice taken care of. The only thing- here in St. Louis the weather could be 30F one day and 70F the next so maybe I should stick with all seasons? I hear great things on the super sports too though. Thanks in advance- and do the forum members get any discounts?
Hey! I have the W speed rated MXM4's in stock which would work well. The SS is strictly a summer sport tire. Shorter life, stiffer ride, etc but excellent dry and wet handling. Great tire to have, but might be a tad overkill for dd. Based on what you say above weather and wear wise, I would stick with the Primacy. Unfortunately no forum deals available.
Hey Neal, I was wondering do you offer a discount from the tirerack for our forum?

Do you carry anything comparable
On the summer performance side I'd look at Bridgestone's RE760. Great dd sport tire with decent life, quiet, and handling if you want to push them. All season option would be G-Year F1 Asymmetrical A/S. Even quieter and longer lasting but you'll trade some handing for it.
Hello need, i am looking to replace all tires on my 05 G35 Sedan. It has 235/45 R18. Which one would you recommend that are around $150-$180 per tire and are quiet on road with good FE and that can last for all seasons.
How good are Yokohoma YK580 or GoodYear LS2? Do you recommend a Michelin Primacy than this two?
Thanks
