Just a quick question before I place a wheel and tire order

What is the opinion on stern wheels? I am looking at getting 20" stern beast wheels

Wheel specs
20"
8.5" width
38 offset
5x114.3 bolt pattern

Would these be a good fit for a g35?

I am planning on getting some sumitomo 245/35/20 tires to go along with them. Could I go with a 255 tire width on this rim or would that rub my fenders?

I have 20x8.5 +20 on my sedan... that should tell you something.

Is your car lowered or do you plan on lowering it?

It is not lowered and I don't plan on lowering it. Do you think that would look bad with 20's?

Not a wheel question but what's the safest stretched tire set up for coupe 18's? Don't plan on going staggered.

This will go on a 05 sedan.

Does anyone have a pic of stretched tires on coupe 18's?

^^why do you want to stretch the tires? for clearance or for the looks?

as for the actual question we have to know the widths of the wheels

uhm.. people usually don't stretch tires on the oem 18s... reason is it would look ugly and the with a +30 on a slammed g35 sedan you would not have ANY kind of clearance issues

umm...ok... looks can be subjective.

I stated coupe 18's then you ask me what's the offset, then you asked if they were oem wheels?

and you're part of Shyne?

Think Shane would be disappointed with those kinda of questions.

Maybe someone else will chime in on the tire question.

i must have missed when you said coupe 18s simple mistake on my part but you need to chill, go ahead and stretch the tires on oem wheels and see how many people laugh at you

and yes I am part of shyne, and on the contrary shane would be happy knowing that I am smart enough to give advice on NOT stretching tires on oem wheels

you obviously need to research more, a sedan that will be slammed with 18x8 +30 all around will tuck SO badly, might want to look at donpisto's white sedan, he is pretty slammed and running a 20x9.5 +3 in the front and is still tucking

But yah maybe someone can chime in on the question, lets see who suggests that you stretch tires on oem wheels, im curious on this one

I'm chilled man, not trying to argue. Was just asking a question. Thxs for your input.

"I am smart enough to give advice on NOT stretching tires on oem wheels " why is it ok to stretch on aftermarket wheels and not OEM? again if it cause of looks, this can be subjective.

"you obviously need to research more, a sedan that will be slammed with 18x8 +30 all around will tuck SO badly, might want to look at donpisto's white sedan, he is pretty slammed and running a 20x9.5 +3 in the front and is still tucking " I didn't ask if it will tuck or what's an aggressive offset. And if it tucked SO badly, then i could use spacers...

Again not pickin a fight or tryin to argue I was just wondering what is the safe stretched tire set up for coupe 18's?
