For one piece wheels, is it possible to powder coat or paint the face matte black but leaving the lip in its original finish? I would assume it is, but I don't know much about these things. If so, how much do you think it would usually cost? 300-400 range?

Yea and probably less, really depends where you're located and who you can have do it.

On aggressive stanced cars, what is compromising the ride quality and comfort? Is it the size of the wheel itself or the coilovers?

Also are OEM coilovers more comfortable than aftermarkets? Just speaking in terms of comfortability and not performance or anything. I don't want to drive over a tiny rock and feel it in my ***. If it's the size of the wheel that's causing this, then whatever too late...haha

For aggressive stanced cars it's a mixture of both, the lower you go, the flusher you are the less suspension travel you want therefore, the stiffer the ride. Also most people inflate the tires more when they're stretched.

you can have OEM type comfort with coilovers, you just don't want to go too low so that when the suspension travels your tires rub the fenders.

I don't think they're such things as "OEM" coilovers.

but the bigger the wheel normally the thinner the side wall or smaller aspect ratio for the tire, which normally equates to a harsher ride as compared to a car that has tires that have larger sidewalls.

You'd probably be fine with a 25mm spacer. I would go 20mm to be safe though (unless you're willing to do a slight pull if it rubs with the 25mm)

I am running 275/35/19 camber is pretty much zeroed and I still have a little bit of space with my 19x10.5 +12

Basically every degree of camber is 5mm of offset change. So if you were running a +12 with that camber (nearly -3) you'd be 15mm further in than mine.

Sorry crap photo of the fitment, all I have on my comp.

What makes you think the ride comfort has been diminished?

If you want comfort in your coils, don't buy cheap ones. The nicer the coils the better they'll ride. Look into KW V3s.

^thank you..

Actually ended up going with a 275/35 so I'm hoping I can pull off a 25mm spacer

I'm running the stock 19's with 245/40 front and 255/40 rear. Been good now for about a year...

Hello all, first off I want to establish that I've done a lot of research over the past few days and I haven't found the answers I'm looking for... So please be gentle. Haha
In my research, I haven't been able to find any references to the amount of inner clearance in the rear of a 2004 G-coupe.

I recently sold my IS300 with which I've had multiple very aggressive, stretched setups, and I want to change up the beat and prepare for boost with the G.

I'm looking into (rear) 19x11.5 + ~20/25 and a 305 or 315. Front will be 19x10 (no questions on that end). I'm curious as to what the highest offset setup someone has run without any issues out back? Doesn't matter the wheel width... Anything you guys can think of, and I'll just do the math myself.

IE: You remember someone who ran 19x10 +50. After the math, inner clearance is 177mm from the hub face. 19x12 +25 will have the same inner clearance, and have the same outer fender clearance as a 19x11 +13.

I will be on coils and aiming for roughly -2.5* on all corners.

Thanks guys!

Depending on the drop and camber, 19x19.5 + 25 up front would be pretty flush and 19x10.5 + 35ish would put you flush.

I have a set of brand new set TSW Thruxton wrapped in Toyo Proxies T1R that I bought for my mustang years ago that I never got around to putting back together. I was wondering if I could run those wheels or not. The fronts look like they are the right size 245/35/19 but the rears are 275/30/19 and it looks like I should have a 275/35/19. Would it hurt to run these?

Thanks

You should be fine. A lot of people run 275/30/19 rears. Do you happen to know the offsets and widths?

With slight camber a 19x11 +25 will rub strut.

You're going to have to be sub +20 offset with an 11.5 HOWEVER, Aaron (Gsedan) rand 20x11 +36 with his camber zero'd

You should have room to move in there just remember every degree of camber is 5mm of offset.
