Yea man that's a fine stretch and -4 won't be an issue for the coupe. Natural camber and being rolled flat should be enough to make them fit. If you have rubbing issue either add a touch of camber or slight pull of the fenders. BUT you're only going to rub if your camber is very minimal naturally. So you should be fine!
well wider in offset..not in tire width haha you get what im saying Blain lol

im not worried about the rear being -3 on a 255/35 ...im worried about the front being -3 on a 235/35..front fenders arent rolled anymore than the way it came from factory..

i dont have camber kits..for the reason i wanted to go wider on natural camber...im tucking tire and i did my measurements before i made my purchases and it seemed to be fine...

i was told by 1 member that id be pushing it by going -3 up front on a 235..that i shouldve went +2 instead.

tires and spacers should be here in 2 days.

Na man, You should be fine with the -3

Do you remember what the camber was set to when you got it aligned? How low are you? Worst case, the fronts are really easy to give a clean pull without messing anything up just pull them a tiny bit.

I've fit 20x9.5 -25 with a 225/30 without the fender looking pulled lol and that car tucked the wheel.

Whaaaa you need an alignment!! lol

I wouldn't worry about the front. That flimsy fender is so easy to manipulate the wheel will probably pull it on it's own.

Got a question, I know for oem 18s tire sizes are 225/45r18 front and 245/45r18 rear. Now question is can you run 255/55r18 on all 4 corners?? I ask this cause I can get a really frickin good deal on a studded winter setup used of course. I will only have these through winter then throwing my Volks back on when spring rolls around.

No, 255/55 is waaaaay too large to be mounted on your 18s. It's more than 3" larger than your oem tire size in over diameter. They may be a good deal but IIRC a trail blazer uses the same size tire lol

Just keep hunting for some deals, winter tire prices start to drop further into the season you go as the companies want to blow them out so they don't need to store them all summer.

Koo thanks for the reply, I'm looking on craigslist daily.

The factory sizes are big enough IMO. I have a 255/35 on the rear of my OEM wheels because I was in a bind and they were free and they look ridiculous.

I wouldn't sway too far from the OEM sizing. a 245/40 or 225/45 are the most ideal.

But a 235/40 or 235/45 would work, 255/40 would also work.

At least they are smaller than the OEM so they don't look like muds.

I just picked up some 350z touring wheels offset for a good price with some snows on them.

I have an 03 sedan, stock suspension. The size of the tires is 245/45/18 all around, that's how they came. The 245's look ok on the back but are hitting the lip on big bumps. IMO the 245's are too wide for the front, I don't like them sticking out wider than the fender.

I'm thinking of grabbing 225/45/18 's for the front and eventually that size on all four corners.

I've seen that the stock size on some of the coupes with offset wheel was 225's in the front and 245's in the rear.

Is that a good setup for my winters on my sedan?

Yea that set up is perfect. I'd recommend rolling the rear fenders if they're rubbing though.

The proper set up should actually be 225/45/18 and 245/40/18 The large 45 sidewall is most likely causing the rubbing.

Ok thanks. Would the front and back diameters be the same with that setup then?

225/45/18 front and 245/40/18 rear?

I guess ideally I would like a square setup for rotation, especially for winters. Two of the 245/45/18 are a lil low on tread. So I'll change the fronts if I can find some for now and then change out the rears when those go. to the 225/45/18 as well?

The 350z wheels look surprisingly good though...under $400 and they're painted a charcoal metallic. Much better look than my 16" steelies Decided to jump on the deal because I'll be throwing my Brembos on in the spring and need the clearance.

Remains to be seen if I'll be sliding down the street when the snow hits. The 16's were awesome in the snow with 215/60/16 Winter Force tires.

I'm thinking of running a square setup on my coupe considering tirerack.com looks like won't be getting any 245/45/18 anytime soon of continental extreme dws.

Was thinking of doing 235/40r18 all around or 245/40r18, what you think of that setup??

Yea diameter will be close to the same. I wouldn't put 225/45 on the back if anything go 245/40 all the way around.

I'd do the 245/40.
