I was asking some questions about my 18" winter setup a few days ago. Currently have 350z touring staggered with 245/45/18...There was a little rubbing so I had the rear rolled.
I've since taken the wheels back off. I want a narrower tire, especially for winter. I believe the proper setup would be 225/45/18 and I could do that all around with no problem.
I've seen others use 225/40/18 all around. According to the calculator it would read about 4 km/h faster which I'm not too concerned about. (I'll just keep it in mind). Are there any other issues I should consider if going 225/40/18 all around on an 03 sedan?
Reason I ask is 225/40/18 seems to expand my tire options quite a bit but I keep hearing people talking about VDC issues. I don't see why I would have any.

Hello. Need a new set of rear tires pretty soon and was wondering if I could stretch the 19" coupe Rays?
And if so what would be a good size for a nice stretch? The rim is a 19x8.5 with 30 offset i think. Need a stretch because my g's 2.5 inches off ground and need more wheel clearance. thanks

Offset is the measurement in MM from the center line of the mounting surface. It determines how far out or how far in the wheel will be situated in relation to the fenders and inner suspension.
Disk types deteremine brake clearance. If you have brembos you will want a slightly higher disk. In Work wheels I believe that is an R disk. Where as the O disk will give you less brake clearance, but more lip. You'll need to sacrifice a little bit of lip size if you want or have a large brake kit than the base model brakes.

Would I be able to get away either of these combos? or would those keep to as close to oem as possible on 18's 9'' and 10'' wheels.

or
245/40ZR-18 and 275/40ZR
or something else? I burn through tires quite often and was wondering if there's anything else(no camber being ran, just really aggressive driver) I can run that I could get away with getting cheaper tires.
Dont want to run into vdc issues, and dont wanna run stretch either, and also wanna keep speedo as close as possible.

There are a tonne of options, just depends what you ahve available to you I suppose.
If you want tot ry out different set ups, use this tire size calculator. You can enter the OEM size and then multiple other sizes and see if they are close enough. It will give you full specs and difference in percentage to the OEM specs. Try to stay under 3% difference or you'll be confusing the VDC/throwing off the speedometer.

That's why I was trying to figure out if I'd stay within 3% w/ a 245/40 and 275/40 without throwing vdc off or running into problems.

I'm not sure what you mean, the calculator allows you to factor in wheel diameter....
245/40 is 1.01% smaller than stock (which is fine)
275/40 is 2.59% larger than stock (also fine)
But you could do the 245/285 stagger because a 285/35 is only .45% smaller than stock.
The fact that the wheels are no longer 8" wide is fine, just need to adjust the profile (sidewall size) accordingly with the increase of tread width.

hello ive been searching and so far I am thinking front 20mm and rear 25mm spacers
i have 18" oem wheels
front 225/45
rear 245/45
i have tein basis and i want a clean look on my car, want it to be flush with the fenders. Would that setup work? and are there any pictures of similar setups i havent found.
