Call or shoot Vr wheels an email and see if they have any Meisters they can build for you/ or some ssr sp1's(look close to Meisters). I think is your best bet- I don't think you want to get into re- barreling wheels

yeah unless you've done it yourself before i wouldn't try to do it now...getting everything correct to piece it back together and actually installing the pieces correctly isn't all that easy

It is actually very simple to disassemble and reassemble 3 piece wheels.

Really? I'd really like an answer. There's a sweet, local deal I may jump on.

- Unbolt face.
- Clean silicon (razor then steel wool)
- Replace barrel
- Torque wheels in star pattern (specific torque will have to be researched, volks are usually 45 ft-lbs)
- Scuff mating surface of barrels
- Clean with alcohol
- Apply silicon
- Let dry for 24 hours
- Mount tire

^ That's the process for 3 piece wheels where the seam between barrels has not been welded. Or has had the weld already broken.

Beaguilars question is about the 3 piece wheels that are welded, and I can say you'd be there forever trying to scrape a weld off with a razor and some steel wool.

In that case, what WhosUrBuddiee said is pretty much it.

It's a very straightforward process

Also, that depends which 3 piece wheel. That vendor can't just go out and say all 3 piece wheels aren't welded, because that article with the pictures direct from the Work factory show them welding 3 piece meisters.

So my question would be what size barrel I'd need and from where? Specs of wheels are 12 +29 with a 121 mm lip. Want it as close to 11+0 as possible.

Only the 2 piece meisters are welded. Per work website they are modular, so not welded. Many people have refinished 3 piece meisters.

I'm not exactly new to wheels so I'm aware of this. But...

http://fatlace.com/2013/02/7-days-in...heels-factory/

"Work Wheel doesn’t put glue, they actually weld their 3 piece wheels together. When the wheel is damaged being it a 3 piece, they have machines to break the welds. This isnt the same type of weld they do on their 2 piece builds but its done to ensure a solid wheel."

Welding

Weld

Silicone over weld
