Does anyone know if splicing into the FRONT speakers will damage anything versus the rear speakers? My LOC says to splice into the FRONT speakers but I spliced into the rears as stated in this sticky but I'm not getting ANY noise out of my subwoofer. I don't think there is a difference since they're just speaker wires but has anyone else had this problem? My list of connections and more in depth info on my set up can be found here: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...t-no-luck.html

Any USEFUL is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Question

Hi all,

Is a LOC like this one (http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...AC-SOEM-T.html) will be good if my amp does not accept balanced input ?

Can I use wires located before the BOSE amp and have a good sound with that adaptor or I must use those after the BOSE amp ?

Thank you !!

Explain what you mean by balance input...
your trying to cut in before it goes in to the Bose amp,the reason is that bose uses a equalizer.

Bumping an old thread...

I read through quite a few pages of this and its my understanding that splicing the rcas into the 6x9 wiring before the amp will not work as intended if the amp uses unbalanced rca inputs? The amp i am going to be using says it uses unbalanced rca inputs, so this means ill need a LOC?.

Yes, you'll need a LOC to tap after the amp, or an amp that takes balanced inputs (no LOC required) to tap before the amp.

Ok, thanks! So if youre using a LOC, you need to hook it up after the signal goes through the amp instead since obviously it will be converting the high signal. Although I still am not clear as to how the wires hook up though or if the polarity of the wires matters. Are most line output converters wires labeled as a +/- and simply hook to the +/- of the speaker wires?
