So i know this thread has been going on for a long time and i just got done reading every page of it. i still havent found what im looking for. just curious on the stillen box. when you switch pulleys does it measure the boost change and add more fuel? My basic question is how does the basics of this box work?

The Stillen will have a specific amount of boost at the same rpm so the box takes that rpm/boost and applies the timing correction and additional fuel. It runs very rich for stage 1-2 so you can go +/- 1psi of boost without having to make any changes. From what I know all the stage 2-3 boxes are the same; at least for all the non-revup and then for all the revups. The Stage 3 can be a bit lean at times and I went from 2-3 with no other changes which makes me believe that there is no correction for more boost between 2-3 made by the box. Otherwise the stage 4 would not need a different box.

So what I am trying to say is that I believe that the Stillen SS box only reads the rpm/boost you are at and adds a specific amount of fuel and pulls a specific amount of timing.

I made ~340 / ~315 with my stage 4. It was a blast on the street but the #'s didn't reflect as much fun as it was.

I have to agree with tim cause the best et i ever got was 13.21 and that is with a auto on street tires. But on the street it was a blast to drive, stop light to stop light or even 1/8th mile runs are def its strongest point.

Hey guys, I noticed today that the pump for the heat exchanger isn't moving any liquid through the s/c. The coolant/water mix just sits in the bottle...no flow. I thought maybe the pump died, but it still makes the humming noise when I turn on the car, it just doesn't move any coolant. Did my pump die?
Also, how bad would it be for me to run the car for a few days w/out?

s/cdg...congrats on the twins!

Thanks charles, you can still drive the car but it will be just like stage 1 and yes it does sound like the pump went bad.Try this, disconnect one of the hoses and drain out some fluid, reconnect and turn key on.With the coolant tank cover off add fluid and see if the pump pulls it into the lines and empties the tank if it dosent the pump is bad.

Be careful with it while the IC pump is not working.

Has anyone had problems with the way there stillen supercharged cars run after it's been sitting outside in the 106 degree heat? I have until I wrap the timing box in ice packs. I hope I'm not the only one with problems.

I went to Stillen and they replaced the bearing thats connected to the 6 rib belt along with the alt., power steering, etc. Seems like its a lot better design and that bearing shouldnt wear down so fast or cause so much noise.
Looks like this now:
<a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/bryan.w.fan/G3502/photo#5098780607555845122"><img src="http://lh5.google.com/bryan.w.fan/RsKB8rUEPAI/AAAAAAAAAQg/ow0V7IDqwAg/s144/IMG_0281.JPG" /></a>

I was going to have them replace the 4 rib belt with the new 6 rib belt design, but that was going to cost me a whopping $700, $400 for the part and another $300 for labor
