I was going to have them replace the 4 rib belt with the new 6 rib belt design, but that was going to cost me a whopping $700, $400 for the part and another $300 for labor

That new one is a much better design. With any luck you won't have all the noise problems that part caused before.
I would not mess with the 6-rib for $700. Even $400 is steep. The belt lasts a while and you can change a lot of belts for that kind of money. I didn't have any slip problems in the time I had mine.

When I turn the car, I can hear the pump turn on and hear what sounds to be fluid circulating. But Ive never had to add more fluid since installing the kit... and it doesnt seem to have ever got low.
But how do I know for sure if the whole thing is working properly?

That works for some and others have slip issues at high boost/rpm. You have to run it very tight which risks damage to other oem parts.

2004 G35 Coupe, Stillen Stage 4, Stillen Exhaust, Inject CAI.
**EDIT UPDATE** New Recent Dyno:
334 HP / 335 TQ -- Intercooler water cool to touch. Car has been parked for a few hours. (Mustang Dyno)
When I am heat soaked from bumper to bumper traffic I have dyno'd as low as 314 HP / 326 TQ (straight off of 4pm traffic onto dyno... 15 mins to strap on and run).....
----------------------------------------
On another note: Does anyone know all the colors and the stages of Stillen Pulleys? Just curious.
Also, All Stage 2 owners... did you have any CARB exemption certification (i.e. sticker under hood or something)?

I have never seen a Stillen make that much torque. Do you have your dyno sheet?
The pulley colors change depending on the years. Sam from Stillen told me there can be a +/- 0.5psi difference on the same pulley between years.
Yes I even still have that sticker under my hood from the kit.

I thought mine was underpowered...
Really? I feel like the underdog at my shop and against my buddies... They all have JWT Twins and Vortech Superchargers and they are over 100HP more and torque.
I'll dig up my dyno for you. People have said that I got a good motor when my car dyno'd 245 bone stock. My G35 Sedan NA stock dyno'd around 222 to 225 HP, don't remember the torque.
I was kind of disappointed that I only made an extra 100 RWHP with a stage 4... and that's when things are cool... like I said earlier, when I am heat soaked, 325... which puts me at only 75 extra ponies at wheels.
Stillen quoted 347 at the wheels with only stage III + their exhaust ("nothing else"). I only made 316-327 (again heat soaking dependant)... and also was very disappointed that it was only 75 extra ponies or so from NA. And this is with Stage III, Injen CAI, Stillen Exhaust, ACT Clutch and AL Flywheel. So I went ahead and did the stage 4 becuase I was so disappointed with three from stock.
What did you make with the stillen supercharger on your car?
On another note: I've seen 350Z make 339HP with just a stage 3 and your basic bolt ons...
Also, do you remember the color pulleys and what year/boost it affects (ballpark)? A friend asked me recently about purchasing a used setup and asked me if I knew... I never paid attention to the colors, but now I am looking

I really hate to say this but i think your dyno operater does not know what he is doing. He must of put in some wrong correction number,s.The most i have seen was a few in the high 330,s to low 340,s and mine was at 340rwhp and i never believed it.The reason i say this is my greddy twins at only 6psi and thru the stock cats gave me a measly 328rwhp and 327 rwt.
This was done on a dd dyno with no corrections and that is why it,s called the heartbreaker dyno.My twins would have killed my old stage 4 setup and i should know as i and ttrank have had both.I finally had a dynojet done and made 354rwhp and 355rwt just for comparison.
Next up is 9psi with test pipe,s and a fuel return........and the hks evc6 boost controller.

I don't doubt what you say. I love my car as a daily driver and its lots of fun... The stock dyno I did was at another shop though... I can't remember which dyno they used... it was a while back.
But what it comes down to is I expected at least 100 RWHP from a kit claiming so much at stage 2... oh well. From your experience you don't think at stage 4 I can gain 100 RWHP without some messed up correction factor? (i.e. from 245 RWHP stock to about 345+ RWHP @ Stage 4).
Oh, and Don't worry about offending me I am a big time car guy and have had many fast cars so I don't brag about my numbers or get offended if you have had difference results in your experience. I learn from everything and stay "enlightened"
So the highest HP you got on yours was in the 340s but you don't trust that number? Your twins right now feels so much better than stage 4 stillen with only 6psi of boost? Even initial torque at the low end? Wow!!
