My 05 6mt is making snap, crackle and popping noise. Every time when I reach my destination and shut off igntn. and get out of the car, it makes snap, crackle and popping noise just like the damn cereal from under the car.

Is this normal for a G35?
my last car never did that..

If its a problem, will it be covered under warranty? I have a 05 with warranty that expires Nov. 30 this year.

 

this is your car cooling off. metal expands as its heated, contracts as it cools.

 

you are probably hearing your exhaust contracting from cooling off or the oil dripping back into the pan, most likely all normal sounds.

hmm since I have you experts here already, can you help me answer another question?
When my car is in idle, I can hear air hissing noise coming from toward the rear right wheel.
No, its not tire air escaping.
It's not continuous air escaping noise..rather random burst shot of those CO2 cans you use to blow away dust.

I think there might be a hole or damage on my exhaust/muffler that makes these air shooting noises.
help a brother out.

All G Coupes make that air hissing noise from the right rear wheel. It's probably a pressure release from the gas tank(as a result of the low-pressure fuel return line) or evap. system or something like that.
