you have a lot of weird things happen with that car. I dont think a normal running car should do anything you stated there other then the slow turning over. Once it turns over it should be a little loud but thats all.

Yea, its a little colder in MN then chicago but we have the lake making things worst.

A lot of weird things which is exactly the reason I am dumping this car hahaha It started fine later on which is what I don't get. It was like the car could barely get the cylinders moving.


It never does anything weird like this unless it is really cold, so I have no clue. I just feel like my car freezes itself. It sits in an open parking lot and gets nailed by wind all day long, so who knows..

I don't really see anything weird about what your car did considering how cold it was. In my experience, cars always act a little funny when it's that cold outside.

Just think about how you would feel if it was -25 degrees and somebody came and kicked you in the a** and gave you three minutes to get ready to go. I know I'd be pissed.

I just went and cold started my car (hasn't been run since 1pm yesterday so 26 hours ago) and it spent the night outside when it was probably -13 and today it is reaching a high of about 5.

Car started fine with what sounded like a little timing chain clatter but that quickly went away. I just drove around until the car was warmed up then parked it. Nothing out of the ordinary except the random little squeaks and rattles and it makes.

Yeah, mine has some nasty suspension squeaks when it's cold outside. Luckily I keep it in the garage overnight so I don't have to deal with the long warm-ups in the morning.

Mine has made the loud valvetrain chatter during start-up one time. It worried me at first, but it's only done it once in two years and all the fluids were full when I checked. Not sure what causes it, but my Explorer used to do it on every single start-up.

Dimensions-wise it seems like it would fit
but IIRC the bose woofer has 4 screw holes instead of 6
so it's most likely not gonna be plug & play.

the wiring for the bose amp is much different than an aftermarket amp.

Also I believe I read somewhere that you might get an overall lower than normal volume from the head unit since the bose amp increases the volume after it comes out of the unit to "reduce interference/static".

Plus you would most likely need the wiring diagrams if you want to see this through because the average person won't get very far without them.

Restore yep is a different product and is a completely different application. I would never use an Oil Additive.

Since you had a fuel injetor cleaner 30k ago its not like you have huge build up, it does not hurt to put a "GOOD" fuel system additive in the fuel. Using crap might have some issues. Many people say to put 2 stroke oil like 400:1 ratio, as gas today is very dry. the 2 stroke oil is to lube the fuel pump and it does some cleaning as well as a Upper Cylinder lube.





Anything with PEA is really good at cleaning. I personally used Redline stuff, which contains a UCL, which lubes the fuel pump, they sell it at pepboys for 8 bucks. It does not hurt at all. And It burns cleanly.

But depending on strength you might need to change your oil after, with Redline you dont have to, as it works over time of the tank.

Thats why its doing that lol, Castrol Edge 5W-30 is pretty thin and flows well at colder temps.

wow, thanks so much for your help. i just wanted to make sure that putting in the Slick 50 wasn't going to cause any problems, burn funny, etc., etc. and, i JUST got my oil changed w/ Castrol Edge so i don't want to have to change it out just bc i put in the additive. so, you think i should be fine putting the stuff in and not having to change the oil w/ it?

Lots of Fords have really noisy tappets, even when they're running right.

SO will a 04' Sedan's spring fit on an 04' coupe? Trying to lift my car back up to stock lift.

Sedan springs are usually about 1/2 inch longer than the coupes.
