so as we all know excessive weight is the killer of fast cars, or cars we think are fast(g35's) lol jk

i have already considered the lightweight drive shaft and i am looking into getting light weight front seats. not sure which ones, price and look are hard to find in the same set!

Are there any other mods you guys might suggest?

my exhaust set up sure did save some weight as well as the v1 track wheels, i have a few other mods that saved a couple of lbs but not anything significant enough to notice.

when i went to the track last time i took everything out of my trunk and didn't run any faster.

take out back seats, flywheel, wheels, change final drive, lightweight crank, idler delete...

emptying your trunk isn't enough to feel or see a difference. you have to lighten the car by 100s of pounds

^The back seats weigh very little.

Ditching your spare, jack, extra carpet/mat/etc in the trunk, and running on 1/3 - 1/4 tank will help.

Alright, HID question. Im on a deployment so i cant check it out for myself... I have an 04 coupe, Which HID set do i need? I checked out the bulb replacement guide and it said the low beam has HID bulbs, so that leads me to believe i need to get the one for the fogs/highs? And if so, do i need the fog relay harness? And if all that is correct, all i would need to do is buy replacement D2R bulbs to match the new set that im buying... Thanks for your input guys.

if you want to change the FOG/HIGH beam the proper way to use both still you will need a special kit that will either tilt the bulb or try to hunt down a dual filament HID bulb.

^I believe the H4/HB2/9003 Hi/Lo kit from DDM tuning will work with OEM high/fog functionality.

Danny (thescreensavers) would know for sure.

^ The hi/Lo bulbs do not work. IIRC DDM says all their kits are Bixenon but I am not sure about that

At the end of my OP in https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...installed.html it shows what happend when someone tryed the hi/lo bulbs

^How are yours setup right now? Do you just have fogs only, no highbeams?

I use Apexi's "power intake" drop-in dry filter. Bought it off Concept Z Performance for 27 bucks, works for me.
Thanks for the info! Would you recommend a K&N or your Apexi drop in filter? I know everyone is going to cringe when they hear this but when i go home on weekends i drive about 1.5 miles on gravel road. I go SUPER SLOW though so it doesnt hurt anything but that may affect your advice on which air filter i should use.
