You can put in your current wheel specs and what the new ones would be. It will tell you how much the wheels will stick out, or in compared to the wheels currently on your car. It will also tell you how much more/less inner clearance (between wheel and suspension) you will have.
Another great thing to do (as I spent countless days doing) is search through the pic forum and/or fitment threads to get a visual of how the wheels fit on other peoples cars. There are a few posts floating around

I strongly suggest a simple 1" drop though, it will tie everything together much better.

would these https://g35driver.com/forums/20-inch...k-w-tires.html work for an 04X lowered on coupe sport springs. front will fit fine. I'm just iffy about the rear. tires on the rears are 275/30

You would need to change the rear tire and roll the rear fender flat. You would need to run a few degree's of neg. camber, or pull the fender, and run less neg. camber. The rear fitment is similar to mine (20x10 +25) and I am rolled flat with a slight pull and -2.1 degree of camber. You would want to match the O.D of the front and rear tires being that you have an X.
I think you can make it work, but IMO you are better off with a square set-up or go with a slightly less agressive staggered set-up.

18s actually.
The rear offset is a little on the low side for you height.
