i've held the button for more than three seconds but as soon as you hold it for about 1-2 seconds, the playlist feature is selected, like oscottio said.

My interface stopped working on ipod. I have used three different iPods, still no luck. Does any one have any ideas, or do I just have a bad interface unit. It worked perfectly for weeks.

yeah, i've seen the video but i'm telling ya, it doesn't go to the next song like he's doing it on the youtube. like toinfinitibeyond says, it goes to the playlist feature if u hold it down for more than 2 seconds. the only way i can do advance or go back is to use the console radio button. i guess the '04 radio systems are different from the '05 and '06 models. maybe cuz the '04 doesn't have mp3 capability and the later models do?

Yes, it's ipod connector on one end, and the box talks to the ipod so i don't think it would understand other mp3 players' commands.

If the last 6 digits of your VIN is higher than the numbers below your pre-wired:
Coupe VIN: 210827 & higher

Checked my VIN, my VIN is lower but I currently have XM Radio, so I presumed mine is pre-wired?

Joe,
do you still have any more units in stock (w/ Sat)? and any words on the extended cables?

'04 sedan install issues

So Nissan has had my '04 sedan for two days trying to install this kit. I could use a little help from the community.

I obtained these two part numbers 999U7-VR002 and 999U7-VS000 based on reading what members here had to say about SAT and the '04. However, there is no where for the harness to plug in to. I don't have any pre-wiring in the trunk, and the rear of the head unit has no empty connections. My VIN is lower than the critical 321894 for SAT.

I am just curious if anyone else here with a VIN similar to mine has completed this install, and if so, what parts were necessary? Nissan has order the other harness for me 999U7-VS002 to see if that is what is missing. This part comes in Friday, so I have a few days to figure this out. I appreciate any information guys!

You also need a B8377-5W900 ($56.25). That is the SAT harness you need to run from the radio to the trunk (or wherever in this instance). After that refer to this link: http://www.g35parts.com/download/ipodinstall.pdf

I took that part number into Nissan and told them it might be the part i need, but they couldn't find it in the computer. Would it have a different part number at Nissan? Is that an Infinity part number?

If you already have FACTORY XM radio your car should have been wired at some point. If this is the case the iPod kit will work, make sure you get the lit for cars WITH SAT radio: http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...roducts_id=521& we do have them in stock.

No luck on the extended cable. I got a lead from another G35D member on a Alpine cable (model #KCE-422i), I bought it off ebay but it didn't work, wrong pin configurment...
