From the FIRST POST of this thread. Click the "scosche trim ring" link.

From the 2nd or 3rd post of this thread, it covers the gap between the JDM trim and aftermarket radios, when said radios don't include a trim ring, or their included trim ring doesn't fit right.

Yes, that's it, but if you feel way over your head, you may want to get help from somebody comfortable with it.

Yes, but you're gambling with whether it'll work by purchasing one through eBay.

Yeah i wouldnt by that cable off ebay. I did for mine and its not the true pioneer cable. I emailed the seller once i had it and he said it would not be capable of playing a/v back.. I ended up paying the 60$ at visions, and just returning my look alike cable for theres..

There is not any advice on tucking the wires behind the deck? That ish is cramped back there, I almost thought I wasn't going to be able to put the deck back!!! Makes me never want to take it out again, even though I know I have to soon

Mmmm there is somewhere, I've read it. I laid my PAC-ROEM down flat below where the HU sits and then stuffed everything else in the slot to the back-left. Works like a charm.

Is it possible to modify your stock AC controls for use in the double-din modification? Just cut off the bottom radio portion, remove the AC controls and use them with the JDM double-din bezel?

afaik, no... the circuit board runs power throughout the whole board. so if you were to "cut" off the top you would have to do some serious work on the board. and unless you have schematics and a manual of operation, you wont know how much current and voltage is supposed to be at each semiconductor. just save yourself the $150 and buy a new one... or check the market for a used one. the dual climate control button is easy as hell to solder on too!
