G35/350Z aftermarket coilover, springs and shocks spec's w/updates
Got my stance gr+ and installed them. So far I'm liking the ride and that's really all I care about since I'm not doing any competitive driving, but an occasional "spirited" driving.
One thing that really bothers me about them is that they are advertised as 15 Way adjustable. Well, they technically are. However, they recommend using "0" setting as a starting point, which is 8 clicks from full stiff. That puts you at setting 7. They don't recommend using 1-6. You can, but it's not recommended. Then, it is recommended to adjust the coilover every 2 clicks from "0" setting, which is 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15. Those are your 5 recommended settings.
What is the point of having a 15 way adjustable coilover when the manufacturer does not recommend using 10 of them? Because It's a marketing scheme because people think if a coilover has more adjustability then it's better than the latter when in reality, 10 out of 15 settings doesn't do ****.

Just got my alignment done today, feels pretty good so far. I asked for a balance between tire friendly and sporting so let me know what you think (pictures of wheels vs fenders later):
Suspension settings:
Tokico D-Specs
Cobb Springs
Rear Spring mount mod
SPC rear camber arms
Wheel/Tire settings:
19x10+20 with 285/30/19
19x11+23 with 305/30/19
***Special note: I had this done with an almost empty tank of gas (been on E for the whole weekend), so I figure with a little more fuel in there I'll get a little more negative camber from the added weight.

A little info about the shop, GTP. They are a certified Porsche service center and they are also a NASA Porsche race team. They build their own shop cars and support other numerous teams and private owners, so they know a bit or two about suspension set up. Supposedly the alignment machine is a specially imported system from Germany. It was nice to see the referenced alignment spec based on the 2007 G35 at the top.

Getting ready to do something with my G Sedan. Originall planned on PSS10s, but can't justify the extra cost for adjustability I won't use. Probably going to go with Eibach Pro-Kits and a good after market shock/ strut. Considering either the Bilstein HD, or Koni Yellows.
First question:
Will I have camber issues with a 1.1 inch drop?
Second:
Any opinions, pro cons of shock choice. Which is a better choice for a daily driver?

It looks to me like you got exactly what you wanted. They added more camber for better performance, but kept the toe right where it should be for preserving the tires. I would have asked them why they couldn't get the rear toe to match left to right, though.
on a 2006 g35 coupe with 245/35/19-front and 275/35/19-rear, installing eiback springs with a 1.1" front and 1" rear drop..do i need to replace my cambers or with the stocks b ok??
good info.....2006 g35 coupe sport tuned suspension on 245/35/19-f and 275/35/19-r, dont want to jeapordize the ride quality...whats best tein high tech or eibach pro kit??? any advice....
They are a race shop, so I wonder if it was done in prep for driver's weight? Just a shot in the dark really. I looked at the tires this past weekend and noticed the inner tread of the left rear and right front were wearing more progressively than the opposing tires (right rear and left front). I might take it in to ask about it and see if its something they can dial out. I've been super happy with the setup and balance though.
Ok, I've done my research and I think I have a plan to lower my coupe. I have OEM 19s and I'm not looking for a terribly aggressive drop, so I decided to go with the Tein H techs and will do the springmount mod. With this I'm getting the SPC rear camber kit for the rear camber and will keep the OEM shocks. I've got spacers of 25/30 mm and am thinking I'm going to need to roll.
So, my questions are:
1) Am I missing anything with this setup?
2) Am I going to be ok without the front camber kit?
3) Can anyone confirm that I will need to roll with this setup?
4) Will I be alright with keeping the OEM shocks?
If someone could ease my mind with all of this, I would really appreciate it!

Bump for a noob question/clarification.
I have an '05 sedan 6MT with sport suspension. I want to do the Z/G combo and match my shocks with the correct springs as to not cause them to go out any faster than they need to. To do this I need rear coupe springs from a coupe with OEM 17s or 18s and any year 350z springs for the front. Is this correct?

Do NOT buy Megan coilovers for this G or Z. As mentioned I had them on my car, I sold them because I could not stand them. Wasn't a performance issue so much as it was a issue with ride and drive quality related to poor valving. Problem I had was I could not sell something I disliked that much. I had softer springs I was able to test in the front, much better behavior so I bought another set of softer springs so I could resell the setup and still sleep at night. BcRacing makes them as you know, however they are not the same specs as the coilovers they make for themselves (larger piston diameter). Given that the BcRacing coilover exists, it makes ZERO sense to buy the Megan product since you can buy that setup for only maybe $50 to $100 more. Even then, IMO I don't let Bc totally off the hook with the excuse that "the Megan product is the way it is because we simply are building it to Megan specs", no excuse to deliver that kind of a product out your door, makes we wonder about their own product.
If your in the market for coilover's, please do yourself a favor and make another choice. I would go with Eibach Pro-S even if they don't have adjustable damping. Most people set then and never change them anyhow. You could also wait and save. You can get some used Custo Zero 2's right now for pretty cheap in the market place right now.
