That definitely looks like quality.
I can already see the comfort with that fat monotube.

I'm going to buy some Swift Springs for my '04 coupe. looking at what the info in the first post is can anyone confirm the exact drop of the 350z version below compared to the g35? I know it says that it's an additional .5" drop over what's stated, but i have read that this only applies to the front springs and not the rear. Can anyone confirm???

Quote:
Swift 350Z linear springs .8”/.6” drop on 350Z, G35 drop will be higher)
Spring rates in LBS 336/364

Swift G35 coupe linear springs 1”/.6” drop on G coupe, G35 sedan drop will be higher)
Spring rates in LBS 280/314 (softer then oem)
Beware, spring rates are softer then oem.
Thanks!!!

Yes.

I just hope you've read what I posted on the spring rate specs that setup uses and your a informed buyer. (IMO that's more rear spring rate that I'd run, but I have tested a ton of rate combo's, I dunno )

I had a questiong about the Tanabe DF210.
What does it mean it is a 1.7" drop on a spring softer than oem?

Tanabe DF210 G35 COUPE progressive springs 1.7”/1.3” drop on G35 coupe, G35 sedan drop will be higher
Spring rates in LBS 308 /353
Beware, a 1.7" drop in the front on a spring that is softer then oem

Just bought a set of KYB XLG's and Tien Stech Springs for my '03 G35 Sedan. Pre install I have 2.75" front and 1.3" rear clearance from top of tire to top of wheel well lip on a stock sport suspension. Looking at this thread (if i'm reading it correctly), it seems to indicate that I will see a drop of 2" front and 1.3" Rear when I put on the Tiens. That doesn't leave me a whole lot of clearance in the rear if this is correct. Any thought?

Hi all, new to postings but not new to the site. I've got an 06 coupe 5at, came with stock 18's and now have the 19" rays. I'm looking for an 1" drop about and a slightly stiffer ride.
My camber is supposedly within spec, but putting the 19's definitely angled the rears in a little. Any ideas? Should I keep away from progressives? Should I change buy stocks/springs/camber kit or are there some set ups where I can utilize the oem shocks with little issue. Thanks

Are KW Variant 1s better than the Nismo S Tune suspension? My friend and me about to do an even trade, but before I do, I was wondering if its even worth it? I like how the Nismo suspension is, but is the KWs up in par with them? I know dampening is not adjustable. How much of a drop would these even do? They are coming off of a 03 350z.

I'm looking for some advice, I bought my car and it already had Tein S-Tech springs. I dont care for the ride in the rear, its too soft and if i have a full car it sags way too much.

here are the specs i found for the springs i have
Front Spring Rate:6.4kgf/mm, 358 lbs/in
Rear Spring Rate:5.2kgf/mm, 291 lbs/in

Front Ride Height:-50 mm, -2 inch
Rear Ride Height:-32 mm, -1.3 inch

now here are the specs for the 350z springs

Tein H. Tech Lowering Springs Nissan 350Z
Spring Rate F 6.4/358
Spring Rate R 6.7/375
F Drop (in) -0.3
R Drop (in) -0.2

now according to the info in this thread if I were to put the 350z rear springs on my sedan I gain an additional 1" over the quoted which would give me a 1.2" drop in the rear but I would get a much stiffer spring (375lb instead of 241lb) corerect?

if someone can confirm or correct my findings that would be great!
Thanks!

On the surface I would say yes, that good German suspension enginering will trump Tokico every time. However, owner reviews of the Nismo suspension are extremly positive.

Ride heights are slightly different of course.

The Nismo suspension on your coupe should give you about a 1.1" drop. While the Kw should have a range of -1.3" to -2.1"

The spring rates are a little different too

KW Variant's 1 twintube construction, uses Oem upper shocks mounts
V1=non adjustable dampning,
Spring rates Front 485lbs to 525Lbs Rear: 240Lbs to 548Lbs (progressive springs)

Nismo S-tune shock and spring setup 350Z (twin tube, fixed height)
.6"/.6" drop (as shown on page 10 http://www.nissanusa.com/pdf/microsi...ar_catalog.pdf )
Spring rates 393*-448/254*-504

Tuff call IMO

Correct, but when I ran the 350Z H-techs on my sedan IIRC for whatever reason I got more rear drop I wanna say it was about a 1.4" drop. I ended up fabbing some spacers to install above the oem upper seat mounts to get it back to the 1.2" that I prefered.
