True for all that you just said. I think a light weight DS only shows the power you lost on the dyno from reduced drivetrain loss.

The power is always there the engine now doesnt have to work as hard along with getting rid of the middle join

Just installed the Z1 DS last night. No vibration at all up to 100mph. Car rides smoother with the DS.

Hopefully I can track test it today depending on the weather.

Other than no vibes, car feel any different? More HP, rev/accelerate faster, sound different... anything?

Any noticeable diff for $450?

I know everyone always tries to compare the how much of a gain feeling to the amount of money u spent on the part. being na you will never see noticeable gains for the money spent.

but to me the most noticeable gains u will feel is the driveshaft and changing your gears even though they don't really net u more power on the dyno.

yeah, i think one of the big factors isn't even so much the wight loss as much as it is the reduction in mass from removing that joint from the 2pc. def a great mod regardless of dyno results.

$458 shipped ordered Tuesday received and installed Friday. Yes it's on their website it's named G35 Z1 platinum DS.

I haven't got on it yet, but it does feel smoother. I will post pics of both shafts side by side later. The Z1 DS comes with a pink Z1 logo on it.

No vibration and only $500? Guess this will be my next performance mod if you can feel the quicker acceleration.

Sorry guys no track times, but I'm getting a after dyno at Hill's garage tomorrow.

The car rides smoother and shifts harder at WOT. Feels like the car has the extra weight taken out for the track (spare, tools), but those items are still in the car.

I gave a friend a ride yesterday and he noticed the difference in acceleration and shifting and asked what did I do.

The car has been taken up to 130mph without a hint of vibration. I'll post graphs of the dyno tomorrow.

I've read that the rotating mass weight reduction from the DS is equivelent to 80-100lbs of static weight.

This is from a mustang forum.

"100 lbs. of static (non-rotating) mass removed from car = .1 in the 1/4 mile.

10 Lbs. of rotating mass (wheels, brakes, driveshaft, flywheel, etc) removed from same car = .1 in the quarter mile."

This shaft and the CF one reduces the weight by 15lbs.

enjoy the pics
