Is there a difference between sport and non-sport coupe side skirt?

Yes. Sport has a swoopy-ish indentation. The front splash guards are not interchangeable between the two, so something's different. Which is unfortunate because sport splash guards have been out of production for years and I want some. No one makes an aftermarket version. Not even Ionic :-(

Can anyone who's bought one of these for their jacks comment on what to look for? I've heard of the hockey puck method but haven't used one yet, im deffo bending my pinch welds using my floor jack with the G.

Is there a reason you aren't service jacking from the jack points? Jackstands usually have a groove in the center so they fit over pinch welds. If you're using a 2-pole lift you'll probably have to contact the manufacturer for the correct pinch weld adapters.

Is there a side-by-side pic of the differences? I tried googling but its hard to tell because of the angles and stuffs.

Also, how different is the sport skirt from an Impul?

I use a regular jack and lift up from the pinch welds. Some spots have gone flat but who cares...u cant see it anyway.

Read the sticky threads. Pretty certain what you're asking for is in the 03-05 06/07 differences thread.

Yeah thanks...found it. Not much difference but the non sport skirt looks better to me actually.

After spending a winter in the great white north, my pickup started to rust at the busted pinch welds...I noticed it before it got bad. Anyway, I cut a hockey puck because I had a few lying around, but haven't ever really needed more than the one.

My cut was approx 3/8 inches wide x 5/8 inches deep and its perfect for truck and g.
If I were looking for a pad, I would find one with a similar spec, but wider as the puck isn't as wide as my jack pad.

Yeah but Nissan engineered a lift point in the center of the vehicle at both front and rear so you don't NEED to jack it from the pinch welds so I don't understand why this is even an issue unless you're sitting more than 1 inch lower (coupe) or 2 inches lower (sedan) because at that point even a long-reach-low-profile jack won't work unless you drive up on low angle ramps first.

Besides, side-jacking is sketchy on a car like this because you would need to side jack the MIDDLE and there isn't a designated point designed to handle half the weight of the vehicle. Sure it WORKS but it's still super sketchy and there's a properly engineered way of doing it available to us.

I'm dropped 3" from stock in my sedan and have jacked it up from the sides for 9 years w'o any issues. Guess I'm just sketchy lol.....

I've always used a cut hockey puck. Only center lift point I can reach is the rear diff, and even that is sketchy because of the Nismo cover.
