I figure they had a hi tread wear, thats what I was looking for, as well as a decent stretching tire. I've seen folks around here running achillies on stretch setups- any other brands you recommend? Or nankangs good best for price/wear/stretch etc

NsII actually only have a treadwear of 200... which is very low.

Nankang and achilles have proven to be pretty decent. Some of the big body guys have been ok with Nexens, triangles and hercules as well.

Cooper is another one if you can find a local dealer.

High treadwear usually means hard rubber and bad on traction dry or wet, correct?

Not necessarily, most manufactures have strayed from the path on this one and they tend to lie when they say the tire has XXX tread rating.

But no, higher the rating doesn't mean they're harder or worse in any kind of weather, it's more or less the depth of tread the tire will start with.

225/40 on 10 with the CCWs and 235/35 on 10 with the Weds. I may actually switch to a 225.

^ not a chance.

You'll need a 295/30 out back not even a 295/35 and that's STILL larger than stock.

Run 245/35 and 285/30

I know someone who is selling 18 coupe wheels with 225/45 up front and 245/45 in the rear. Will this set up work for a awd sedan without pulling fuse?

Ideally you want 225/45 and 245/40

But it should work....
